If u have not pay money to book the Siam Centre or rather just called and book or go thru tour agency to book, Im sure u can cancel without paying anything. Or if u haven't pay in full, after stay one day, u can check out and just pay one day only. If u pay full amount already (cash and not credit card), Im sure u can ask for refund if u just stay one night.

If u are singaporean, either u change at Golden Mile or People's Park Centre can fetch a reasonable good rate (If u work near Raffles MRT then Arcade will give the best rate). This places are slight better rate than u change in HY. Anyway, if u change around S$1K to baht, the different will be around 50cts to $2 depending on the differences.

If ur frds n u going to pray especially to the mountain top to pray 4 face Buddha, Goddess of Mercy, Si Jia Mo Ni and Yu Wang Da Di (about 20mins journey), then a saloon car book from tour agency will cost around 600-1k baht depending on how u kena chop. Usually if u visit 3 buddha with the mountain top, they will quote u 600-800baht. 600baht is the norm but u can bargain till 500baht if u skillful.

If u go over the weekends, u can visit floating market (Da Lup Nan in Thai) which operate in the evening from fri to sun only. Tutu to there will usually quote u 500-1k baht (about 15mins journey). Tutu will send u there and wait for u approximately 1-2 hours and fetch u back. For me, I always manage to bargain until 300-350baht and i told him i will stay 1.5hrs there and ask him to come n pick me at that specific time.

Other places of interest u can consider Songkhla (about 26km away from HY - 30mins drive) if u never been there b4. Prices for transport im not very sure cos i always drive there if i intend to go there if i do drive my car to HY. There is a dirty beach there with rows of seafood restaurants. U can also enjoy massage at the sea side to enjoy the sea breeze for 200-300baht by those blind ppl (duno still have or not). Sea Aquarium also there (never visit b4). There is a shooting range there also. Different weapons for u to try but not very cheap (avg S$40 bah, i never try b4).

For airport transfer (saloon car), anything more than 320 baht means u kena chop already. U can purchase a taxi ticket at the airport ticketing counter (right side once u exit from the custom) at 320baht but only allow 3 pax. If 4pax then have to add $. Anyway, if u have tour agency number and book their service to pick u at airport, it cost only 250baht to max 300baht (chop u a bit).

A decent traditional massage called to ur room by the bell boy will cost u 300baht for 1.5 or 2 hours. Last time only 240baht but now prices increase abit already. Some of them do provide ping pong massage similar to HJ but their will ask u whether u 1 2 release or not. The price for ping pong massage initially will quote 500baht. Taxi rate to hotel from airport is baht 400 and mini bus is baht 150. This is btought at the airport counter. The fee has been increased. Maybe you are handsome, fees are lower or I am ugly and therefore incur surcharge. Bros going there can check and verify.

Usually there will be some drivers with empty cars going back to hatyai town as they were hired for 1-way journeys by the tour agencies for their customers. These drivers will hang around the arrival hall and you can negotiate a price with them.... many can speak simple english or hokkien.

It is for those who like farming at those day farms where the overall quality is CMI and very poor. For me personally I never liked farming as I prefer evening gals at lounges/clubs. The last time I was there, did not manage to pick up gals for LT as quality was not great so just ended up ST with CP4 model. These days I go Hatyai for short chill out stopover trip to enjoy the food, cheap drinks and quiet environment before departing for bigger better non stop action in BKK. :D

I didn't book a room prior to arrival... and told the airport van dropped me in front of Sakol.... gdi..... was told I got the last room of the date on 30May.... as quoted by the agency opposite sakol.... at gdi 1300 baht...

the agent boss suggested me to stay elsewhere the other day.... and said the rate would be around at least 1300 baht

Then I walked across the road and check in to my rather compact room... my bed was placed right next to the wall.... like I was staying in tune KL LCCT....

Walked up to the Pink to see if I could pick up any MILF.... disappointed that all were aunties.... either the massage or soapie was discouraging... was quoted 2000 Baht by the Papa at Soapie.... only about 6 oldies there....

the next morning... I duno how much for 3 rooms and a hall. But its best to have individual room. U can book 2 connecting room and a 3rd room beside or opposite these 2 rooms. The price for these 3 rooms will be avg 1K baht (+- 50 to 80 baht) per room per night for a 3 star hotel like Golden Crown Plaza (about 6 yrs old, New Season and Mayflower [about 3-5 yrs old i presume] which is about 3-5mins walk to Lee Garden PLaza. These hotel should be ok unless ur standard is always those 5 star hotel.

U dun have to take bus to find kfc. Do more research in these thread bah. Dun be lazy.

Lastly, read the latest last 10 page for the price of farm bah. Dun be lazy.

S$50 should be 1 way from SG to Hatyai.. return trip can be booked at the tour agencies in Hatyai.. total to and fro should cost below S$100.. I wont recommend to go by bus just to save that S$50 to S$100.. but if you are booking your flight last minute, it will definitely costs way too much.

Yup, thats y different transport company got their own customer. Some like to take bus cos cheaper, some take plane cos faster and some like to ride/drive up cos cheaper (4 in a car) or mostly hobby bah.

Last time, when there is no budget flight and also there was a time where tiger no more flying to HY when budget airline was introduced, Lan lan have to drive up to HY from sg. I had drove or being a passenger to HY travelling by car about 10x. Fastest is 7hrs (avg speed 140-160) after we clear msia custom via Tuas. Avg is 8hrs.

Usually after clearing Tuas custom around 12midnight, we will drove to 210km mark of the North South High Way (NSHW), should be somewhere near the end of Malacca. Time taken will be around 1hr 45mins. After 15mins toilet break, we continued our journey.

After that, we will drove all the way near to Ipoh or Penang (cant remember) which take about 3hrs. Then will rest for 15-30mins before continue our journey. Another 1.5-2hrs drive will reach the border of Thai custom liao. Then will pump petrol before clearing the custom. Once after clearing Thai custom, fast hand fast leg find one hotel at Danok and Toh Ti Ti till noon. Hahhaha.

it was done last year when i changed to a 1400cc bike.. started off from Gelang Petah Petrol station to Sadao Custom... travelling between 160 to 180kmh.. at night no cars mah.. stopped for petrol for 3 times.. each time spending 5 to 10mins only for petrol, ciggrate and drinks.. :)

Back from Hatyai, don't really have much wifi access over there, missed out quite a number of suggestions that gave by bro here. But I think I am quite a lucky guy. Manage to work something out there.

Just to share my story there!

The total damage I spend is full body massage (300 baht x 2) facial + nail cutting (500 baht) + tips (300,200,100 work out to total 600 baht) so total is around 2,300 baht. In BKK it is true that website booking is cheaper than tour agent. But the reverse is true in smaller cities like Hatyai. Of cos there are exceptions to the rule like a few hotels may be cheaper booking online than walk in but majority of hotels will be cheaper if you buy from tour agents.

Day 1 in Hatyai - Field Report

Thanks bro Jimfairy for recommandation for lovely tour. In my opinion, they are reliable. The exchange rate they provide is also good, I change my thai baht at the rate of 24.37. Do take note in hatyai, everyone will try to chop your carrot head, so stay vigilant.

Mayflower is a very good hotel. Wifi is reliable and have on multiple level. In order to walk the ground, I walk from Mayflower till Chanvit area where the farms are. Use landmark instead of road name for navigation. Odean, Indra hotel is good landmark when you are at center. At side use macdonalds for guide.

The Star @ Sakura Hotel is a must go. But please becareful, if the day is empty (like today) they'll crowd around you. Spent quite a bit to keep them happy while not busting my budget.

Try aim for the one you like and get her to seat with you, if she likes you can bring her back. The damage is 4k baht for overnight. A bit ex but there are real gems there. Will try farm before i come back and give more updates.

Nv try the tour. I use them for hotel and airport transfer. I travel alone so it'll be to expensive to get the vehicle for one day to Koh Yo Island or Ton Nga Chang Waterfall. They quoted me 900baht. I'll probably come back again with a few khaki so when the amount is split. It's reasonable.

I walked around the area. It's actually not that big and not hard to navigate around. It's pretty safe too and does not have much traffic. I walked to The Star (Sakura Hotel) at evening 11pm.

On the side note for The Star (Sakura Hotel). If you go on low session, it's very easy to hock up with the dancers/strippers. You can just hang 1 or 2 flower and you're the biggest spender there already. There were only 4 tables taken and I'm the biggest spender spending 2k baht on drinks. 1 of the dancer/stripper also came to my table but have to be turned away cuz my table already have 4 ladies and I'm having problem managing between expectation and wallet. Next time I go I'll just get 2 at most so can chose 1 to bring back.

- Beer at 120/150/180(bottle)
- Lady drink 120 (1/2 price compared to sg)
- Tabao 4000
- Lvl ground is pub, upstair is KTV

Gan Eng is a cze char restaurant tat lots of local n tourist went. Food wise can say not bad depenping on individual taste bud. Portion is small n affordable.

Another place is samila seafood restaurant. Frequent by lots of tourist. Price slightly expensive (avg ard 1-2k baht for 5-8dishes of seafood n other dishes.

Chok dee dim sum so so only. Bak ku tay (msia style) can say not bad.

Opposite to Mayflower hotel on the 2nd street is a shop selling sport shoes...... go inside to the inner section..... they have a small room and the jerseys are inside the room.... can try your size there on the spot. But the prices in Hatyai is much more expensive than in Bangkok so if you cheong both places then is better to buy from Bangkok. :D

I juz check it out also. Arrival for taxi at airport counter still 320baht n not 400baht as one of the brother had mention. Of cos if u book thru tour agent will b cheaper.

For hotel to airport for departure, 250baht is the price although most tour agent like lovely tour will quote 300baht.

Wahh...her service - treated me like king! Bring me around HDY and visiting the outskirt area and guide me to some best found cuisine. I like it so much. No pattern from her either or try to MIA or anything like that. Sexually....power as I could says cos she ensure that I'm please. On the second day....she suggest that I take her friend by the name Porn to joint us. Says she is good to have and willing to do anything if book her.....no regret one. Without much though - I agreed and she call her to come. The price - 1800Bht - so take her for the rest of my stay together with the current one for the 3some party.

On my return journey, i was speaking to the driver (his english is good by the standard) and realise that tour group like Lovely and others sometimes dun have own driver, they will then engage these driver to pick up customer. Spoken to him and gotten his name card. WIll probably call him next time to arrange.

Driver - to and fro, 300 baht and 250baht. Can save about 50baht. (not much)

But for tour wise it's better, 1 day booking at lovely is at least 2300baht, with the driver direct is 1800baht and you can go anywhere you want. So suggest if you want to go waterfall or koh yo island, call that driver and arrange directly.

Do take note now very close to ramadan, so the security is stepped up to prevent insurgents. There are troops stationed within the city and near the airport.

My frd juz returned from HY last week and after i had kopi session with him, FR for him to share with bros base on what he told me.

He do check it up and told me that the renovation smell still there and promotion price for the time being was 950baht (Wifi cost 50baht for...cant remember 150 baht for 1 week, etc). The room almost same as Mayflower (not very big) whereas Golden Crown Plaza room is bigger and more spacious.

After check in Golden Crown PLaza (find that carpet slightly dirty then last time but still acceptable and the price also increase to 980baht already). First day nothing much to do except they look for tour agent to book transport to bring them to pray four face buddha, Si Jia Mo Ni and Guan Yin that cost 500baht for a salon car. R n R and explore night for 1st day.

On the 2nd day, after praying, took a walk at Farm. Age range from 18 to cannot make it. But (A) mention after visiting 5-6 farms, no problem to spot 4-5 gals that suit his taste. (A) book a 19 yr old MM.

But if u know how to bargain, 300-max 400baht will do the job.) Of cos there are cheaper ways but more troublesome.

Day/Night market:

1) Kim Yong Market
2) The Plaza (Known as Market or 'Pa Suck') near the Clock Tower. THIS IS THE PLACE MOST LIKELY U CAN FIND THE AAA GRADE JC.
3) Night Pasar Malem near Bus station or railway station ( I think called Per Thai or something like that).
4) Open not long ago GREEN WAY SHOPPING. A very cheap pasar malem where local go and patron. If ur standard is high, give this place a miss cos most of the clothing only sell less than 100 baht and its near to Number 3 (walking distance).
3) A lot more cos there so many shop houses selling clothes, barang barang ROUND Lee Garden Plaza etc.

Makan places:

Breakfast
1) Chok Dee Dim sum/Ba Ku Teh (Can give the dim sum a miss)
2) Famous San Jie Zhu Za Tang (If u like pig intestines, pig blood, organs, etc, then u may like it). Just few shops away from Chok Dee
3) If u adventures, Kim Yong Market road side stall alot of push cart hawker. They sell nice food also.

Lunch:
Chin Cai eat lah.

Dinner

1) Gan Eng Zi Cha restaurant frequent mostly by local Chinese. Cheap and affoardable.
2) Samila seafood restaurant, price slight expensive cos frequent mostly by tourist
3) There was a very cheap open concept bbq buffet for the locals call something like 'Ren Pet' that cost around 100baht per pax. Give it a try to sample their local culture.
4) Oh ya, there was a red-pickup vehicle near Golden Crown Plaza that sell very nice porridge. (Die Die Must try and it's open only for supper)
5) Near Regency hotel back lane, there was a duck noodles where after party goers went for their supper also.

One day before departure, (A) just anyhow walked into a tour agent to book transport to airport. 250baht to airport he paid.

I think the cost for a taxi is either 800 or 1200baht, can't remember correctly (I never took a taxi from airport to Danok b4). However, book once from tour agent at HY to Danok which cost 400baht (6 years ago).

Basically all the prices from the farm for gals age 18-25 yrs old is ard 1800 - 2500baht. Most of them fall into 2000baht category. Sometimes OKT will quote slightly more with their bull shit story. Of cos tutu will have commission if they bring u there. Their commission is 500baht. They will collect it discreetly after u left the farm.
