With regards to staying in bandung, i a place i like is at D'hotel Batoe. Relatively decent price and its nicely furnished. Relatively new. And its in the Pasir Kaliki area too, which means a short distance from Venetian and Amnesia, and if you want a shopping mall nearby you have Istana Plaza. Its also quite close to the airport.

Personally i don't quite like the Braga area, because there're alot of street walkers and to put it in the words of my local friend... "kasar" (i.e. crass). Some of them will grab your crotch in the middle of the pub to entice you to have a quick one with them. FLs at other locations are much nicer.
