There are many temples that serve free food in SG. Regardless of race, language or religion, they will serve you food. 7am to 7pm.
This might solve the food problem for a while if they are within reach of your place of residence. You should be able to find them on google.

Cycle if need to, can save some money as well.

I'm sure some of these temples accept volunteers as well or you can try asking if they are willing to pay you a part time wage to work in their kitchen or do the dishes.

Solves your food problem and maybe earn some cash to tide you through.


Don't wait to ask for help from your MP or community centres. Go and talk to them.

Hope your situation improves soon.

But first, we must help ownself, basic rule #1. Helping others are optional choices (but chics like)

Beri simple advise: get a job, don't give lame excuses

1) Don't waste money on food. Go to kopitiam and eat those leftover food. You'd save $2 per day. Also, those leftover food is more nutritious than instant noodle.

2) Check out every rubbish bin in your neighborhood see if you can find anything valuable, such as coins, papers or aluminum tins you can sell.

3) When you have enough money, go buy some tissue papers and sell at bars, food courts, MRT stations, etc.

4) You might think I'm trolling, but this is how you would survive and improve your life quality.

5) Last one, cancel your internet/phone service. You are wasting your time and money.

First of all I have no job now. So why not find one? Find job also need money to travel and tahan for a month. I don't have those. So I'm lost as to how to start. In fact right now I'm surviving on 1 meal a day. Mostly instant noodles and an egg.

Just saying, but there's quite a lot of options for you left. In Singapore no such thing as no money. It's whether you want to put in effort or not.

No job? Go apply for Fast food restaurants. The pay is shit but at least having an income is better than no income. Even if you just start out, at least $1.8k if you don't slack off.

Don't tell me 'oh, I trying to look for a better job and working at a fast food restaurant won't give me the time to look for a proper job!'. You can send out your resumes and apply for shifts or off to go for interviews.

Your circumstances aren't as bad as my friend. My friend was literally thrown out of his house for drug abuse and after he got out of rehab, he had literally $0 in his name. No job, no certs, no house. Even when we friends tried to offer him help like let him stay at our house all this, he refused because he's willing to stand up on his feet on his own and not rely on others. For a month, he had to sleep at parks etc etc until he received his first salary then he start renting room. You can't tell me your situation as bad as him ba. If my friend can do it, so can you. If you want to corner yourself, no way anyone can help you.

There is many way to do things in life. Somestimes society always paints that this is the only path to take. Example apply a job good office job straight school and etc. But all this may not work for everyone circumstances. My advice is just take small steps and move on with life. Cancelling my phone and internet will make things even worse because I can't find jobs and no one can contact me.

And I don't even have the money for a new PC after my old one spoilt. I'm using my phone now with prepaid card.
