Yup, i remember met 1 graduate in vietnam working in HR dept for 1 yr, she only drawing a salary about USD200.
I bring her to shopping mall, she said she like brand like charles & keith but never buy them becoz cannot afford.

Bring her to eat in korean restaurant, the way she devour all the food like never had a chance to eat such food, keep saiding delicious.

When i told her i left a few can of beer in my hotel fridge which i could not finish, she even ask me if can give her bring home. Hard to see such behaviour in singapore.

That is really low for USD200

haha...dun think the salary pay cheque is their final take home pay...many work 2 shifts or earn extra...see a cafe gal working in a cafe may earn 3-4mil dongs but their tips add up to another 3-5mil dongs depends on their popularity and willingness...

besides some willing to work as part-time FL/gf/fb for foreigners or older local rich men and may get another few million to tens of millions...

a masseur(gal) working in a clean massage place (open concept style) works 12 hours shifts daily and earns around 10mil per month purely base on tips by clients...can earn more if the gal willing to go dinner or ECA on off days or after work...

Land area bigger, built up area is 8m x 35m. This one is her father's house tear down and rebuilt. Mine I bought from resale not built. You can't x 2 the cost if 2 storey.

if the viet rent a place to live in order to work in hcm or hanoi for slightly higher pay, after rent and food (food alone may take up 1/3), savings may be limited given the long working hours ... not sure how she cope with "2nd shift".

But the desire to own luxury product is unthinkable (rotten fruit is same as Gucci bag, the exterior skin well polish but inside just rough paper use for book's hard cover )

the gals had no choice to go to work in big cities such as HCM or Hanoi...simply the province had no future for them except larger cities like Can Tho, Chau Doc etc...

as for 2nd shifts...a cafe gal works from 9am to 4pm and will rest till 5pm and then starts 2nd shift at another cafe till 11pm...cycle continue till gal found alternative source of income...

dun be fooled by the iphone 6 and Gucci bags...most of the Gucci bags are 70-90% fake which cost between 300-600k...as for iphone6, the gals usually save up to buy or bought by their bfs/Fbs...
