It was a polaroid of her and her boyfriend (I supposed) the boyfriends hands were over her shoulders while she hugged him. She was wearing shin-length skirt and a white sleeveless top, the moment I saw the polaroid I was like “siao liao lor.” But then again I remember an advice an old chiongster once told me…

So I let my little brother takeover my head and decided that I would up her no matter how long it would take and regardless of the goalkeeper.. asshole move but that’s what most bros are constantly thinking right? Wana up a girl but got boyfriend, wana go for a girl but you’re attached.

I put the polaroid back into the laptop bag and made my way to tanjong pagar feeling motivated and excited at the journey I’m undertaking, when there’s competition there’s satisfaction. I called the MRT Girl (I have yet to know her name) and she sounded half awake

MRT Girl: hello…?
Me: Oei you forgot your laptop bag
MRT Girl: my laptop bag??
MRT Girl: MY LAPTOP BAG
Me: ya ya your laptop bag. I’m on my way to tanjong pagar now, meet me at the gantry I’ll pass it to you.
MRT Girl: I got to tap in for work, can’t be late…
Me: ok lo I deliver to your work place, you owe me one more now.
MRT Girl: Really? Thanks!!!! My workplace is at _____________
Me: Wa heng near, if not you need pay for my taxi fare lo.
MRT Girl: hehe I’ll treat you lunch later la thanks hor!
Me: Ok ok call you when I’m there. See you MRT Girl.
MRT Girl: MRT Girl??? K lor see you later MRT Boy

I made my way down to her work place and waited at the entrance, called her.

Me: Oei MRT Girl I’m here already
MRT Girl: Huh so fast, ok ok I’m coming, I’m coming.
Me: you’re coming? Hahahah
MRT Girl: oi what you thinking. See u.

A few minutes later she came down and I swear seeing her again made my heart skipped a beat and my little bro became hungry for her. She looked a little shy and awkward maybe its because of the previous conversation.

MRT Girl: eh… thank you ah, sorry!
Me: No problem la, lunch on you ma :P
MRT Girl: Ya la ya la ! See you later MRT Boy

Last post for tonight have a goodnight bros! update again in the morning

Things were looking good and she didn’t seem to show any hint of resistance and was nice so far. Maybe she is just being nice because of my “broken phone screen”…

I looked at the time… 8:45am, shit I’m going to be late. Texted my supervisor and made my way down to work. On the way to work was fast and I reached at 9:15am. Before I even started work I was already counting down the hours till lunch to meet MRT Girl hehe.

10am … 10:30am.. 11am.. 11:30am.. 12pm.. 12:30pm still no calls. I was beginning to feel paranoid, what if she had no intention of calling back and was just providing lip service to me. (Yes guys, I over think a lot and hence conflicting arguments in my head by myself, anyone is like this too?)

Waliao eh 2pm bugis. My lunch was from 12pm to 2pm. Nvm nvm tell supervisor got urgent thing going on since I was working during my supposed lunch time he should be ok with it.

Supervisor: siao eh you got urgent matter you just go, don’t need ask for permission one just inform me.

Me to MRT Girl: Ya okay 2pm at bugis see you!

MRT Girl: So what are we eating??

Me thinking to myself: I’m gonna eat you of course hehe.
